Pattern Expert

You were working on legos and said "I'm making a pattern." Daddy told you that patterns are math and you were so excited to be "doing math." Later you said to me- "Will you please call me the expert pattern maker."

You love projects and working on crafts. You are a very diligent worker and keep focused on a project until you have finished it. You are very smart and funny even when you aren't trying to be!

Cawub, I wuv you

This morning before church Caleb was playing in the toyroom, he was being a little cranky and wanted to play by himself. From the other room I heard this:

C--Nathan, can you go away please, I want to play by myself.
N--No, Cawub, I want to play too.
C--But, Nathan, I just want to be by myself.
N--Guess what Cawub.....
C--What?
N--I wuv you, Cawub.
C--I love you too but can I play by myself.

Bus Ride

"I'm so excited, Mommy!" This is what you told me as we were walking to the bus that you rode with the soccer players. You and Caleb have wanted ride a bus for so long. Lately, every time we are outside and you see a bus (which is often in our hood) you chase it and yell "Wait for me!" Then you're always a little offended that it didn't stop for you:)
This time the bus waited. You guys had so much fun.

Silly Natie

This picture of you sleeping with your "elephant pet." You've decided that you need a

pet and this little stuffed animal has become that pet. You're a little silly with it and put it in crazy places then when it's time for bed you can't find it, or really I can't find it. The other day I found it in the cupboard behind the cereal boxes. You're funny.

The other pictures of you sleeping are from last night. Around 5:45 you climbed up on the couch and fell asleep, you woke up for a little bit around 8. But sleep though the night after that.

Today you really wanted to push Addie in the baby doll stroller, she was happy to go along with it. It was really funny you both laughed all the home from the Coats.

Sweet Brother

You are an amazing big brother. You love Addie soooooo much. You love to make her laugh and smile. Lately when she cries, you stop what you are doing to bring her a toy and try to make her smile. It usually works.

At dinner we have different people that we pray for every night. Before Daddy prayed he said "we're going to pray for the baby that we are going to adopt." I don't know if everything clicked for you about adoption or what but you said "We're going to have a baby and I can make her laugh!" You were so excited about having a new sister:)

Camping

Our fam went camping. This is the first time you've gone camping since you were a little baby. You really loved being outside and running around.
These pictures tell your camping story....peeing the woods, running on the beach, almost drowning, and being really cute on the top of the big hill.
Yup, I said almost drowning. It was a pretty shallow lake and you followed Caleb out pretty far. We were watching from the shore when one of the lifeguards said can you ask him to come in, when we did we realized your chin was just above the water, Daddy ran to get you. We kept your lifejacket on after that:) You weren't scared at all. You just got right back in the water.

I'll check on you in a minute

Today when I told you it was time for your nap, you said "why I gotta take a nap" I said because I'm tired and I want to lay with you. So, I put you in your bed and laid down with you, like I always do. You laid down for a minute, sat up and said "I'll check on you in a minute." Which are my famous last words before I leave your room at naptime:) You're very smart. Now you're happily sleeping. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
